In recent years, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) has been intensively debating its role and authority. Several States raised the need to reevaluate the work of the institution in light of the current reality of the region. In addition to discussions on their tools, their strategic agenda and their thematic priorities were questioned.
